The Reitz Foundation’s collections are on display at the former home of developer and art collector Lauri Reitz, which opened as an art museum in 1971.

• Visit the former home of developer and art collector Lauri Reitz and discover an incredible collection of Finnish fine art, antique silver, clockworks and more
• The Collection of Reitz Foundation is a must-see for art-lovers and fans of antique metalwork

The foundation was established by Maria Reitz, Lauri Reitz´s widow as a result of her will after her death. The Reitz foundation has gone on to further develop the Reitz´s collection of art and antiques over the years. To date, the museum displays crucial works from the history of Finnish art as well as a truly unique collection of antique Finnish silver. Other notable items in the collection include antique weaponry dating back to as early as the 16th century; Meissen and Sèvres porcelain, as well as antique timepieces and clockworks. Not only does the museum preserve the atmosphere of the historic Reitz family home but also features beautiful antique furniture from different eras in its collections.

The museum showcases landmark works of Finnish fine art primarily from the 19th century, Finnish antique silver from the 17th to 19th centuries as well as antique weapons and clocks from the 16th century onwards.
